Ok, I finally decided to write again - after posting all these pictures, i had the feeling that i have to add some words :) About two weeks ago, Alex and I did our first trip ever in a RV. For those of you who never heard of that term before (like me :) RV stands for Recreation Vehicle and is apparently a big thing in the US. There are lots of people who even own one (we were mostly the only one's with a rented one at the campgrounds in Utah).
So we flew out to Vegas and rented the RV from there - what a contrast!! first spending a night on the strip and then driving off in our RV (for 6 people :) to Utah. We started in Moab, a small and friendly Outdoor-City, from where we explored the Arches Nationalpark, the surroundings and the Canyonlands Nationalpark. The nature up there is AMAZING! We did several hikes (haha my favorite thing to do - no honestly, I actually enjoyed it :) and then went on to the Zion Nationalpark.
Zion was very different - beautiful, but a little to organized and touristy. You have to pay 25 bucks to get into the park, cannot drive your own car (they have Shuttle Busses) and very crowded. But its still worth it, the nature is great.
We finally ended our trip where we started - in Vegas, drinking Margarithas from the Treausure Island Margaritha bar :)
All in all, it was a fun trip, but I guess we both learned a lesson: We are not campers :)
